Seeking adventure has never been so easy - getting lost between city lights, on a trail toward rushing waterfalls, or in a local thrift store. Dancing through a field, making spaghetti squash, star-gazing, or backpacking - adventure comes in all shapes and sizes.

Then comes the instagram because “pics or it didn’t happen,” right? And it was completely candid, right? Is social media sucking the novelty out of our outings?

Remember this through the endless scrolling, only seeing the best of others’ lives. It’s life through a filtered lens, tailored to perfection. Vicariously living may become the ultimate adventure for some, but trying to keep up with the Jones’s hasn’t gotten anyone anywhere.

Blaze your own trail and definitely document it, but don’t let the the documentation be the motivation.

Some adventures can’t be contained or photographed: The way the sunset kisses the sea line, the reason behind a smile, finding mutual friends, matching complementing colors or learning something new that changes your whole perspective on life. These precious memories become etched in the wrinkles of your smile and in the back of your mind. They are the kind of adventures that hang on your heart and bring joy in the morning.

Something beautiful can be created in the quiet adventures, making memories and reveling in the experience of it all.
