Have you ever felt so overwhelmed by the stress of life? We can probably all agree that life is a rollercoaster of up and downs.
Everyone has their own ways of getting freed from drama, whether that's journaling, writing articles every week, or talking to someone that you trust. We are all have our little quirks that makes us who we are. Addictions can be small or big; it just depends how much time we invest in them.
One of them, in the millennial generation, is being on our phones constantly. Whether it's looking on Facebook to looking or researching certain articles. Technology is a big part of our lives — that's not a lie. Does this mean that we should let it run our lives?
Taking a mental break from technology is important. Today's news is so depressing. The only good news we get is from talking to our friends and hearing the good news of their lives. The media is full of drama, from the politics to the school shootings that happen in America. Staying away from the media and having a social life with friends and family can make us happier and helps us get away from the drama that is causing most of our stress today.
Having free time from looking at our phones constantly can be a great way to start new hobbies, to reconnect with old friends we haven't seen in long time, or take that wonderful beach vacation that we have been wanting to take. Disconnecting from the media doesn't have to be a forever ordeal, it can be a couple of months; it all depends how much time you want and how much time you truly spend on social media or looking at news.
In turn, life is too short to be addicted to drama because it causes unwanted stress, it can be misunderstood and misread, and a lot if the news is untruthful.
So be a positive person and live a positive life because we only have one life to live.
