If you follow St. Louis sports, you know we've been expecting a soccer team for quite some time now. Negotiations and decisions have been happening in the city for what seems like years now, just to decide if we could take on an MLS team or not. Finally, it was voted on, and clearly the city is going to make it work.
Today after much anticipation and excitement the MLS unveiled the St. Louis City Soccer Clubs logo to the public on all major social media platforms.
On Instagram, the soccer club released a "hype video" that unveils its new logo. You can view it if you click here.
Upon reading the comments and searching the web, St. Louisans and soccer fans alike seem unimpressed by the simplicity of the logo. In addition to the logo, they also unveiled the names of the colors used in the logos colorway. Comments were also unappreciative of these.

I am part of the opposing side that appreciates the minimalist approach of the logo, and I'm excited to support the STLSC.
As I have written in other articles, any team that comes into St. Louis quickly gains traction and has a strong fan base rallying behind it. The city may not love the logo now, but will proudly display it across their chests when the time comes in 2023.
