So, You Want To Quit College?

Now is the arrival of finals week. I know, I know.

Personally, I have been in need of motivation for the arrival of finals week. This last month has been a capital C to the R-A-Z-Y for me. Being a freshman in college and learning everything is very challenging, especially when you don't do well with change.

Now is the arrival of finals week. I know. You don't wanna talk about it and just cuddle in your bed watching Netflix, but it has to be said. Finals are in two weeks for most. I need motivation and I know everyone else does, here is some motivational ways to (try and) be less stressed within the incoming week!

1. Make time for yourself. Make sure you leave time for yourself in between classes, homework, papers, projects and other things. When you feel like giving up on everything, stop what you are doing if you can, take a walk, meditate, take a short nap, read a book, or simply take a deep breathe and pray. Prayer is everything especially in a time of desperation.

2. Call a family member/friend. If you feel like you need to talk to someone, call a friend or a family member. Talking to someone you trust can help you get motivated and feel better about the weeks to come. They can motivate you into trying your hardest and relaxing a little bit.

3. Write down everything you need to do. I have a notepad I use everyday that helps me keep track of what is due that week. This is very good for finals week. It can help you keep track of your final times and keep it organized, so you will have time for yourself too!

4. Take a break from social media. Sounds crazy but it helps. Millennials a.k.a college students are on social media more than they should be. I'm not afraid to admit it, I am on it more than I should be. Recently I took a break from it because I needed to focus on myself, my schoolwork and to not stress about what others are doing.

Taking a break or limiting your social media intake will help you during finals, just remember it is just two weeks, not a lifetime. So if you are one who cannot live without Facebook, Snapchat or Twitter, it will be there when you are done being responsible.

Try to stay positive collegiates! You got this and you will do your best on your finals. Pray and ask God to help you during these stressful weeks. We all have faith in you!
