Snow Days: As Told by "New Girl"
Neon Tommy

Wether you're in high school or college, there's nothing better than waking up in the morning, seeing the mounds of snow, and then anticipating that class cancellation call or email. Here's the cast of "New Girl" shedding some light on how we all feel during these glorious days.

When you wake up in the morning and see all the snow.

The feeling of hope begins.

Immediately followed by that "class is cancelled" call or email.

Your prayers have been answered.

Changing back into your pjs and getting ready to do nothing all day like

Is there any better feeling that realizing that you don't need to wear real clothes today?

But then someone asks if you want to go sledding

The only outdoor snow day activity I'll agree to.

Trying to find something to do for the rest of the day is futile, so you stay in (for maybe too long)

We might be going a little crazy...this much time spent inside isn't natural.

And then you remember all the homework you still have to do

Ah...the rage, the betrayal, the disappointment.

So you try to be productive, but can't stop Netflixing

Once you get started, there's no going back. Good luck trying to get me to do any productive activity.

Leaving your room for the first time all day to go get food

Wanting to avoid the piles of snow, the glaring sunlight and human interaction...but basic human needs call.

But at the end of the day, you had a successful 24 hours of doing basically nothing at all

Nick Miller would be proud of all of us.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
