Six Little Snap Signs

Remember the good ol' days? When snapchat just told you who everyone's best friends were? Before this puzzle of emojis hinted at where you stand? We all have that one friend that is determined to figure it out. And let's admit it, we all are secretly proud and very pleased with our little golden hearts.

1. The Smirk

Admit it…it gives you great satisfaction to see that you are somebody's best friend, but they didn't make it onto your list. It shows that they snap chat you a lot, but you just have oh so many friends, that they didn't make it onto your list. Other than the heart, this is really the only way to know that you are on somebody's list anyway, so in some ways it is even better than the regular smiley face. If it's your crush, even better! It shows that they are sending more snaps to you than to other people so HA! Of course, it could also mean that you are a snap maniac so there is almost no chance that they would make it onto your list.

2. The Anxious Face

It really does make you feel anxious, doesn't it? Is your roommate Snapchatting someone else more? Are you not best friends? Why is your #1 best friend the same as their #1 best friend? Who is the true bestest friend? What hilarious conversations have they been having without you? Are you being excluded from your tight group? Do you not hold a special place in their heart--at the TOP?!?!

3. The Sunglasses

They're too cool for you. But actually. One of their best friends is the same as one of your best friends…but who? Ah, the allure, the mystery, the danger…it's just like a pair of shades…a bit shady.

4. The Smiley Face

Oh hey look, you must really like this person because they have a smiley face next to their name. A little emoji indicative of how they make you smile (probably). Ah, just enjoy it--look at the little smiling face smiling back at you and don't worry about whether they see the same thing on their phone, because there's no way to know anyway. Just be happy, that you can easily send them snaps without having to scroll through your contacts--life is easier like this--it just makes you want to smile.

5. The Golden Heart

The ultimate emoji--the golden heart! The truest way to tell if your friendship is as golden as you think! You snap them the most, and they snap you the most! It's a little reassurance that they like you as much as you like them! It might take some time, and you might not get there yet, but when you find the right someone, you will get that golden heart of friendship! And every time you see that little heart, your little heart is happy and yellow too.

Of course, these little pictures disappear and appear randomly with different people and sometimes you have no idea why they are the way they are, but hey let's not focus on that! Let's continue to feel strongly about the six little snap signs.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
