How to Snag Your Dream Valentine, As Told By "Miranda Sings"
Gabriel Gastelum

With the holiday season behind us and a new year in full swing, you may be left to wonder "what's next"? Your stomach may be stuffed with eggnog and your heart may be leaping with Christmas joy now, but come say, February 14th, that holiday bliss will surely disappear.

In the coming weeks, as you wander the glorious aisles of Walmart and gaze at shelf-upon-shelf of Valentine's Day sweets and treats, you'll wish for a Valentine to buy you said sweets and treats this year (instead of snagging your usual day-after 50 percent off deals).

In order to help you snag a piece of eye-candy for Valentine's Day this year, I detailed numerous ways to obtain love, with the aide of the all-wise, Miranda Sings:

Keep Your Options Open

As they say, desperate times call for desperate measures. Unless you want to be sitting at home alone this Valentine's Day, look at everyone as a possible candidate. The slightly smelly guy at the gym? The crazy girl who has been pining for you since middle school? Why not!

Directly Express Your Love for Him/Her

The Direct Approach: Once you have pin-pointed the perfect candidate, don't let him/her out of your sight. Call, text, or show up at their doorstep 24/7, in order to make him/her fall madly in love with you.

Play Hard to Get

The Flirt: If the direct approach doesn't work, this will surely will (at least it does in the movies, right?)! Without your constant outpour of love, your Valentine will feel so heartbroken that he/she be knocking down your door come February.

Seduce him/her with your impeccable talent

Wow 'em: Don't be afraid to show off your singing, dancing, or instrument-playing ability. Nothing dazzles more than a heartfelt love song!

Make him/her feel sorry for you

Pity love: Sometimes the way to your Valentine's heart is through a guilt-trip. Preparing a list of reasons why your future Valentine should go on a date with you and presenting it to him/her is a guarantee!

Send him/her sweet messages or gifts

Buy his/her love: Leading up to the 14th, send your special someone cute notes and gifts to let him/her know that you care. Money may not buy happiness, but it can buy temporary love!

If all else fails...

Miss Independent: Don't forget that YOU are the best date anyone could have, even to yourself. If all else fails, buy that marked-down, heart-shaped chocolate and binge watch Nicolas Sparks movies all night long.

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
