Thinking back to my Powerpuff Girls lunch box days, I couldn't help but remember some snacks that may have been forgotten, but will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Gushers
These are still around and I still find myself loving the juice inside.
Dunkaroos
Graham crackers with rainbow chip frosting. Definitely a must have if you were bringing your lunch to school.
Teddy Grahams
They were filled with what seemed like love, almost like a teddy bear hugging you.
Sprinklins Yogurt
Were you eating yogurt or a test dessert? It honestly felt fun to eat yogurt with sprinkles and magic powder on it.
Warheads
This was about as close to the Olympics that we got to in school, because your strength was tested by how many and how long you could leave these in your mouth without looking like you drank straight lemon juice.
Doritos 3D
Bugles and Doritos had a baby, and this was their offspring.
Ouch Bubble Gum
I can remember my older sister getting these every time we went to the grocery store, and once I tried them, I knew why. I'm not sure if anyone ever ate the grape flavor, but I know the watermelon was always the first one to go.
Flinstone's Push Up Pops
These things had to go into the basket if my mom made the mistake of taking me down the ice cream aisle in the grocery store.
Reese's Swoops
A slice of chocolate made made in the shape of a potato chip. These were definitely the bomb dot com.
Heinz EZ Squirt
Honestly this stuff really tasted just like ketchup, but looked a little bit more gross. If it came out now, I would probably be disgusted that they would make such a thing, but when I was seven years old, there was nothing better than putting Shrek-colored ketchup on my hamburger.
Thinking about how grossly cool some of these snacks were made my stomach hurt. A lot of the snacks and foods were absolute garbage, but it was delicious garbage. When paired with the Nickelodeon and Disney channels of the time, the snacks can make one feel a sense of nostalgia for the '90s.
