Whether you are like me, and are still struggling to get over your post-Coachella depression, (or perhaps you have no-chella depression), it is time to wipe away the tears and throw away the tissue box - because Goldenvoice has created yet another event for us festival goers.
Brought to us by the same people who bring us the DoLab every year, The Smokin’ Grooves Festival is a R&B and hip-hop festival taking place at the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California. It is to be held this coming June (the 16th, to be exact).
Though it is only a one day event, it is not one to miss - as certain headliners include Grammy-winning artist Erykah Badu, local Los Angeles native Miguel, and multi-genre creative Anderson.Paak, alongside nearly thirty other acts. (Plus, it’s on a boat!)
Even if you are not familiar with the genre, or perhaps you are and don’t recognize three quarters of the line-up, I highly recommend you check this event out! One of the best parts about music festivals is finding new music. You never know - you may find a new favorite artist or two to add to your playlists.
The Smokin’ Grooves Festival is affordable, consists of a variety of acts, and is to last no longer than twenty-four hours.
