4 Characters Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Should Add To Their Line Up

Reason is out the window folks, let's get wild

Super Mario characters

In This Article:

I'm a huge fan of the Super Smash Bros. series. I've been playing since the early days of Melee on the GameCube, all the way up to when the series released on the Wii U and 3DS. While I don't own Ultimate yet, I have had the opportunity to play it, and my God does it feel good.

But this article isn't about how the game is, no. It's all about who I want to see added in as downloadable content in the future. Recently, Nintendo announced that Joker from Persona 5 is making his way into the game. That absolutely blows my mind dude, I would have never even thought to include him.

Now that Joker is coming though, that just opens the floodgates. Anyone can make it in Smash now. So let's get wild and dream big!

1. Crash Bandicoot

This one seems too easy. With how well Crash is doing nowadays with his recent N.Sane Trilogy and the upcoming remake of Crash Team Racing, why wouldn't Nintendo try to get him in?

His move set would be so sick and easy too! You could use his classic spin attack and slide tackle, he could hurl Wampa fruit at other combatants, or he could summon the powers of Aku Aku and wreak havoc on the stage. His taunts could just be all of his dance moves that he does after completing a stage and getting the purple crystal.

You also have so much to work with in terms of stage variety since the games have you visiting new locations in every level. They could use the warp room from the third game, the islands from the first game, or even try using a race track from his racing game.

This pick almost seems to obvious though. Like I'll be a little surprised if Crash doesn't crash the party in Smash Ultimate.

Heh, I tried to make a joke.

2. Doom Guy

This could be seen as a little extreme, but you know what? Why not have Doom Guy?

Sure, you'd have to significantly tone down his violent nature and use of ripping and tearing, but it could be neat! I mean, they made Solid Snake work, so why not Doom Guy?

His move set would be interesting and a little difficult to develop since he mostly shoots demons in the face, but maybe we could make him transition into more of a melee character? To be honest, I just want to see him shoot his way through the colorful and vibrant worlds found within the game.

As for stages, it's easy. Hell. Make a stage based in Hell. Imagine! Mario, Kirby, Link, and Wii Fit Trainer all dueling to the death in Hell.

3. Obi-Wan Kenobi

This would never happen in a million years and I'm starting to go off the deep end.

But just imagine! Obi-Wan being a playable character in a Super Smash Bros. game. It's never, ever going to happen, but a dude can dream can't he?

His moves are simple: lightsaber, force powers, and witty remarks. That's it. You could even style him after his Clone Wars appearance to make him seem more cartoony to fit the feel of the game. Stages are easy too. Geonosis, Utapau, Tatooine, Coruscant - the list could be endless.

Plus, one his taunts could be him saying "hello there". This stuff just writes itself.

Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th

Just watch the attached video and you'll understand why Jason should be included.

One of the coolest kills from the entire franchise found within one of the worst entries. Imagine Jason's final smash being that video, He stuffs Wario into a sleeping bag, sprouts a tree up from the stage floor, and brutally slams his body into it. Instant death. You know what? Maybe I;ll make an article of the best kills from Friday the 13th. That would be fun.

Make it happen Nintendo.

I know that none of these will happen (well, maybe Crash could), but it's fun to speculate! I mean, I'm still reeling from the inclusion of Joker. How did Nintendo even secure that? It never even crossed my mind to have him fight in Smash. I'm so excited.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
