Let me start off with a little bit background about myself. I grew up in a small town in Schuylkill County called Schuylkill Haven. Everyone knows everybody in my town. To be honest, you could be driving through town and miss everything. There are many good things about coming from a small town. I went to a high school of about 500 to 600 students and my graduating class was somewhere around 100 to 105 students. I personally liked living in small town. Everything you needed was in walking distance no matter where you lived in town. There are local events that go on to keep you busy. But I always wanted something bigger.
After graduating high school, I now go to a university in a city. I know many people have there opinions of cities. I honestly like the hustle and bustle of the city. I caught the "city bug" when I was about 14 years old. This was when I went to see my first Broadway show in New York (it was Mamma Mia). From that moment on, I loved the city. I visit the city frequently to visit my brother. Every time I'm there, I never want to leave.
Now I know you are probably thinking, everyone wants to be in city to make it big. Fun fact: I'm not going to make it big like everyone else. I'm not actress or a singer, but I wish I was. When I was young I always thought I was going to make it big as an actress or singer but I wasn't blessed with that talent like my brother. In college, I major in Sports and Event Management and I'm currently thinking of minoring in something but I haven't decided what that is yet. My dream is to be working for company or hotel or even a sports team as an event coordinator or even creating my own event planning business which ever comes first.
I guess I can kind of thank Pinterest for helping my decided what I wanted to do for rest of my life. I can honestly say that I am a Pinterest addict. I check it everyday at least five or six times. To add to that, I pretty much have my wedding planned even though I have A LOT of time until that happens. After always seeing event ideas on Pinterest, I thought to myself that I can do that. That's what I want to do.
I guess you can say I'm dreamer. As of right now, that's my ultimate goal and I will work harder than ever to achieve that dream. I will do whatever it takes. I will always love my small town because without it I wouldn't be the person I am today. For now, I following my own path to success and dealing with the cards that I am dealt.
If you're a dreamer, never let go of your dream. Chase your dreams!
