Sleepless in Seattle is one of the greatest romantic comedy movies of all time. Here are five reasons why.
1. “When I Fall in Love” by Céline Dion and Clive Griffin
This is the ending song for the movie. The beginning part of the song always gets me. It has this romantic mood that makes me think about bright lights at nighttime. It has an official music video that shows the singers and the movie.
2. “An Affair to Remember” by Marc Shaiman
This OST is originally from the 1957 movie, An Affair to Remember. It plays when Annie and her friend are watching An Affair to Remember. It also plays in the scene where Annie and Sam finally meet each other at the Empire State Building. This scene is what makes this OST unforgettable. It is one of my favorite OSTs.
3. The Story Plot
I like the idea of two people living in two different states and how a talk-radio program gets two people together. It is what makes this movie a romantic comedy.
4. The Fatal Attraction Reference
The funniest part in this movie is when Jonah and Sam argue about seeing Annie at the Empire State Building. Sam asks Jonah if he watched Fatal Attraction. Jonah says that he did not because Sam would not let him. Sam admits that he watched it, saying that it scared him and every man in America. How he says it is so funny and makes us understand why he does not want to see Annie.
5. The Magical Feeling of Falling Love
This movie talks about feeling the magic when falling in love. As you watch this movie, you wonder if you will ever experience that magical feeling when you fall in love.
Give this movie a try if you have not watched it yet.
