Finding the right skincare products for you can be challenging. It's especially challenging if you have sensitive skin and everything under the sun (including the sun) either makes you break out or your skin all blotchy and red.

It's been such a challenge for me to find the right products for my skin over the past six months or so because everything seems to irritate it. However, after a lot of trial and error, I've finally nailed down the best products to use for my skin. Check out the video down below to see what products work the best for sensitive skin that's prone to dryness.

1. Neutrogena Blackhead Eliminating Scrub

This exfoliator is super gentle for sensitive skin, but it also is great for removing all the makeup and dirt from your pores. I also like that it doesn't make my skin burn like some facial scrubs do.

2. Dr. Brandt Pore Dermabrasion Pore Perfecting Exfoliator

This exfoliator is no longer in my daily routine, but I still recommend it to anyone who has more money than I do. I originally got this from a Boxycharm, so I can't afford to repurchase it for $58, but if I had $58 lying around for an exfoliator, I would buy this. It does an excellent job of clearing out your pores, but it's still very gentle.

3. JMSolution Water Luminous Jelly Cleanser

skincare product! It is so gentle on sensitive skin and the texture of the cleanser feels incredible. It is amazing at getting off makeup-- even waterproof mascara. I recommend you use this in the shower though because it can be hard to get the sticky residue off with just a washcloth. It's by far my favorite product though.

4. Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner

Before I tried this toner, I thought toner was just supposed to make your skin burn. Spoiler alert: it shouldn't. This toner doesn't make my skin burn at all and it leaves my skin feeling fresh and hydrated since it doesn't have any alcohol in it to strip your skin of its natural moisture. Toner is important because it balances out the pH levels of your skin and reduces blotchiness and redness (which is oh so important for us sensitive skin folks).

5. Neutrogena Ultra-Gentle Facial Moisturizer

If you have sensitive skin, the chances are, fragrances irritate it a ton. This moisturizer is great because it doesn't have any scent. It's hypo-allergenic as well, which is also a plus for anyone with sensitive skin. This is the best moisturizer that I've tried... and I've tried a lot.

6. Erythromycin Gel

OK, this is actually something you need a prescription for. If you're like me and spot treatments are way too harsh for your skin, this is the best thing to stop breakouts in their tracks. If your skin can't handle spot treatments, talk to your dermatologist or doctor about this possibility.

7. Equate Beauty Exfoliating Wet Towelettes

Much like toner, I thought face wipes would always burn my skin and eyes. Even towelettes that claimed to be for sensitive skin made my skin irritated. However, these extremely affordable exfoliating wipes from Walmart are super gentle and make my skin feel fresh without burning the skin around my eyes.

It's a struggle to have sensitive skin. A lot of products are just too harsh for my skin, but these are my tried and true products that I would recommend to anyone that has a problem finding skincare products that are sensitive skin friendly.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
