As we shower or bathe, we scrub, wash, lather and soak our bodies to cleanse ourselves. We use shampoos, conditioners, body washes and body scrubs to help us get clean. However, many of us forget the most important part of our bodies. The part that is exposed to smoke, pollution, car fumes, dirt, dust and many other toxins the most on a daily basis. This part of the body is the most sensitive yet protects us against many things. It is the part that can either make us or break us by showing all types of emotions like anger, frustration, happiness and relaxed. We fall in love with someone else due to this body part and it is one of the most essential parts of us.

Which part of the body could this be, you ask? The face is the most precious part of the body that we tend to be self-conscious about; whether it is that one pimple that appears when you are about to go on a date or that dark spot that you did not notice until yesterday. Any impurities that we may come across can make us feel self-conscious.

To take better care of our skin, it is vital to pay attention to it. Our skin produces new skin cells every night and therefore cleansing it on a daily basis is crucial. The same way that you would brush your teeth, you should be cleansing your face. In addition to a cleanser, you will need to use a toner and a moisturizer. A toner is used to balance the pH levels in the skin to prep it for moisturizers. A moisturizer is always needed; even if you have oily skin. Finding the moisturizer that is right for you is necessary. Having a skin care regimen is the answer to having flawless skin. Drinking water is also a big part of helping your skin be the beautiful, plumped skin that it can be.

To achieve the great skin that you want and deserve, it is sometimes best to get the opinion of a specialist. Usually in department stores, your favorite makeup counter, or some drug stores, they will have professionals that can assist you in determining what skin type you have and any impurities that you may have. Stay hydrated and stay beautiful inside and out.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
