Everyone knows how important our skin is, especially the skin on our face. If you have oily skin like me, you know how hard it can be to not end up looking like a oily mess by the end of the day. While I don't have a permanent solution, I have found some great products that help. Even if you don't have oily skin, these are major keys to flawless (or as flawless as humanly possible) skin.
1. Boscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser, $28
Now, this cleanser is a bit on the pricier side, but it's totally worth it. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and clean. It gets deep into your pores, and helps stop breakouts. Also, it can last me up to four or five months so the price in comparison with the amount of product you get isn't too bad. I use it DAILY.
2. Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser, $7.99
If you are looking for a cheaper option for a great facial cleanser, this is it! Cetaphil is great, it gets your skin nice and clean and it's great for all skin types.
3. Dr. Lift Skin Perfecting System Facial Brush Set, $17.99
You don't have to use this specific brush, but a cleansing brush is a major key to clean skin. Your hands just can't get as deep as a brush can. I like this brush because it's not that expensive, but it does a great job of getting your skin clean as a whistle.
4. Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera Toner, $8
This is a great cleansing and moisturizing toner. I use it throughout the day to refresh my face. The rose petal formula is great, and it smells really good.
5. Apple Cider Vinegar, $2 and up
If you haven't figured out the apple cider vinegar is pretty much the key to life by now, get hip! You don't have to use Bragg ACV, but it's my go to because it's organic. Any ACV will work though. I use it as a toner. I dilute it with water (2/3 water, 1/3 ACV), and I apply it every time I wash my face. ACV is great for restoring pH, clearing up acne, removing excess dirt, and so much more. Definitely a necessity.
6. Rosehip Oil, $5 and up
I love rosehip oil! Along with it smelling AMAZING, it has so many great benefits. It moisturizes and clarifies skin, it's anti-wrinkle, brightens and softens skin and helps with skin blemishes. Not only is it great for your face, you can use it all over your body.
7. Vitamin C Oil, $6 and up
I love Vitamin C oil because it helps with the fading of acne scars and supports an even skin tone. It's also anti-aging, and promotes firmer skin.
8. Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion +, $14.50 - $26
I've been using this for almost two years and I love it. It puts all the moisture back into your face which is super important. Usually, we don't moisturize our face enough so our skin can overcompensate by producing excess amounts of oil (which I hate) so moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!
9. Clean & Clear Oil-Free Dual Action Moisturizer, $7.49
This is a great moisturizer that can be found at any drugstore. I love it, it moisturizes dry skin, but it works great on any skin type. It also promotes clear skin while moisturizing. What's better than that?
10. Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay, $6.99
I live by this stuff, it's honestly so amazing. Exfoliating is important. I just mix this clay with apple cider vinegar (the greatest thing ever created) and honey. I use it twice a week and it leaves my skin smooth and clear. (Side note: you can use it on your hair as well for a moisture treatment, how cool is that).
11. LUSH Love Lettuce Face Mask, $7.95
If you want a face mask that is of the more natural variety, try this! It's great for all skin types, and it leaves the skin looking and feeling great. Careful though, because it does use fresh ingredients, it will expire. So make sure to treat yo' self to masks every night.
12. Freeman Facial Masks, $4.29
I love these masks and they're under $5. I've tried almost all of them, it's all about find the one that's right for you. For the price, they are amazing.
Remember, your face is your money maker so take good care of your skin, ladies and gentlemen.
