When it comes to skincare, it can be confusing. It feels like there are so many products and options out there, it can be overwhelming. While it can be overwhelming, I believe that skin care is the most important step in a makeup routine. Here is a list of my go-to skin care products.

1. Mario Badescu Lavander Facial Spray

I love this spray! It can be used for so many different things, like a setting spray, primer, or just a spray to use when you need a bit of moisturization throughout the day. It smells like lavender, so that is a plus! You can get it here.

2. Clinique Moisture Surge

I love this moisturizer. A little goes a long way and it completely absorbs into the skin, so there is no residue. It is a bit pricey, so I would recommend going to Sephora and getting a sample before you spend the money on it. You can buy it here.

3. L'oreal Paris Hydra Boost moisturizer

This is another moisturizer that I like. I specifically like to use it at night due to the fact it leaves a bit of a residue once it is rubbed in. I have very dry skin and this stuff is a overnight miracle for it. You can buy it here.

4. Sephora Micellar Water in coconut

I love this because it is inexpensive, a little goes a long way and it gets all of the makeup residue off that the typical makeup remover does not. The one in coconut is nice because it is moisturizing and you do not have to rinse after it (but I would recommend rinsing). You can buy it here.

5. Fresh Black Tea Firming Overnight Mask

I love this sleep mask! You apply it all over the face and leave it on overnight and it tones the face and moisturizes it. It is extremely pricey so I recommend getting samples of it from Sephora. You can buy it here.

6. Freeman's Charcoal and Black Sugar Gel Mask + Scrub

I love this mask so much! It is a great mask if you want to life impurities, but do not want anything too harsh. I have found that it is great for treating acne. The black sugar is also great for exfoliating the skin, making it super smooth. This mask is very inexpensive, so I highly recommend this one! You can buy it here.

7. The Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey Gently Exfoliating Cream Scrub

I LOVE THIS BODY SCRUB!! It is amazing for people with dry skin or eczema! It has very fine exfoliation beads in it, but not too many to be painful. It is super moisturizing due to the almond milk and honey and it smells amazing. It is made specifically for people with dry, sensitive skin, and it uses hypoallergenic fragrance. You can buy it here.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
