People constantly come up to me and ask how I get my skin to look the way it does. Well people it involves genetics first off and skin care. The reason I say genetics firstly is because well your genes decide the type of skin you will have whether it will be oily, freckle easy, sensitive, or dry. You do not get to pick the type you have, and ultimately just have to work with what you have an get over it. The mistake people make when asking what brand of foundation I use to make my skin look like this, is that ultimately its not the foundation that makes it look this way. It is in fact the way I take care of my skin.

You can try and cover up all those blemishes and dark spots with foundation, but there is a point when you wear too much foundation. Foundation even full coverage can only do so much people. You cannot just expect to fix your problems with foundation or base or whatever you happen to call it. Honestly wearing make up and not taking care of your skin with skincare is damaging to your skin. Most people don't think about how what they do impacts your skin. Well I am going to give the run down on how you can better protect your skin.

1. Use Sunscreen-

Don't tell yourself oh its okay just one time I won't wear it. When you are 40 or 50 years old you will think back and say that one time could have made a difference. So just for your own sake listen to me just wear the sunscreen and reapply it like the bottle says. Any brand will do honestly, and yes there is even powder sunscreen to put in your hair so you don't burn your scalp. Take all the precautions you can to avoid wrinkling and more importantly to avoid skin cancer.

2. Wash Your Face-

Simply just wash your face. It does not even matter the face wash you choose just pick one and go for it. I wash my face morning and night. Your face gets dirty just like your body, and you need to wash it. Also if you go to bed with make up on it will age you because you are sleeping with stuff caked onto your skin on a pillow case you wash every week or so probably. You cannot complain about your acne if you do not wash your wash. If you washed your face morning and night your face would probably be so much better.

3. Moisturizer-

The holy grail of wrinkle prevention is moisturizer. Yes you are probably thinking why is it so important and its probably expensive how can I afford that. Well moisturizers range in prices you do not need a $50.00 moisturizer to have 20 something year old skin forever. And do not say well I am oily I don't need it. Yes you do! I am oily and use a gel moisturizer by Belif and its amazing. So do not knock it till you try it people. Moisturizers ultimately help your skin maintain its elasticity and helping you avoid wrinkles. Why yes I could go into the serums, toners, essences and masks too, but for the average person these three things are the most important more affordable part of skin care.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.
