1. This is definitely better than finals, at least

The few weeks right before leaving to go home for winter break are some of the most stressful moments of the entire school year. You start to find yourself scrapping note cards, throwing away study guides, and being able to breathe again without the pressure of several paged exams looming in front of you.

2. This food actually looks, and tastes like... food?

College food is a fascinating concept. You think pizza three times a week sounds like something you could only achieve in a fairytale, until it becomes your reality.

It's almost as if you can't even pump your gas or hit a drive thru without having a violently uncomfortable reunion with all of the girls who made sure you had no self-esteem in high school.

4. Is my mom actually trying to give me a curfew?

Even worse, it's the exact same one you had in high school.

5. Where my girls at?

The only thing weirder than being away from your friends is the fact that they're most likely divided all over the country.

6. So, I'm really on my own now?

A small loan of ten dollars from your parents as you try to stretch paycheck to paycheck? Not anymore. You're an adult now, apparently.

I mean I went through four years of tough classes and serious self-searching (and crying). What I found overall was Senioritis sneaking up on me.

It takes a little while to get used to not seeing your high school best friends every day. College is filled with many things, and we're so often lectured to make the right decisions as we head out on our own into the college life. But sometimes it's necessary to indulge in some guilty pleasures as well as just doing things because you can. And honestly, a lot of the time it's inevitable.
