Six Outfits For Halloweekend On A Budget

As you know, money is tight for college kids when it comes to those leisure expenses. Likewise, that doesn't stop any of us from going all out to try to dress up for the all too well-known college halloweekend. From dynamic duo costumes, face paint, arts and crafts, and stereotypical costumes, there is something everyone can throw together from things in their closets- to running down to a small shop and grabbing something for a few bucks. Here are six of those quick DIY costumes you can try out for yourself:

1. Risky Business

One of the most iconic costumes on campus. Throw together a too-big-for-your-body button up, shades, high socks and some undergarments and you've got yourself some sexy risky business!

2. DIY Cat...or dog...or deer...or bunny...or...

Sure it's so stereotypical, but it's also simple. Wear regular clothes (color code them if you wish), throw some animal ears on (store bought or easily a Pinterest fix), and if you wish, you can even paint some face details too!

3. Frat boy

Okay, this wouldn't even be a college costume list if "frat boy" wasn't on it. If you don't have the articles of clothing for this, trust me, your guy friends definitely will. Throw a big button up on, some Bermuda shorts, your favorite pair of moccasins and a backward baseball cap and you are set to go. Both hilarious and cute!

4. Netflix and Chill?

Wanna get creative and artsy? Make these cute t-shirts! A great dynamic duo costume with your best chick (or guy friend, lets be real). After puffy paint (or vinyl letters if you want to splurge) and a night to dry, wear it with a pair of spandex and you've got yourself a conversation starter and a comfy outfit.

5. Alvin and the Chipmunks

Like Netflix and Chill, this is another amazing dynamic duo (group) costume! Big T-shirt, paint, and shoes...that's all you need! Trust me, these kinds of costumes are college party favorites.

6. Scarecrow (or farmer)

Plaid is a fall favorite. Throw it together with jeans, boots, and a (straw) hat and you can be a farmer! Throw on a stitched smile and eye socket patches and you're one party ready scarecrow!

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.

To My Loving Boyfriend,

  • Thank you for all that you do for me
  • Thank you for working through disagreements with me
  • Thank you for always supporting me
  • I appreciate you more than words can express
  • You have helped me grow and become a better person
  • I can't wait to see where life takes us next
  • I promise to cherish every moment with you
  • Thank you for being my best friend and confidante
  • I love you and everything you do

To start off, here's something I don't say nearly enough: thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You do so much for me that I can't even put into words how much I appreciate everything you do - and have done - for me over the course of our relationship so far. While every couple has their fair share of tiffs and disagreements, thank you for getting through all of them with me and making us a better couple at the other end. With any argument, we don't just throw in the towel and say we're done, but we work towards a solution that puts us in a greater place each day. Thank you for always working with me and never giving up on us.
