The recent Snow Storm Ursula went through parts of the east coast, which caused a lot of people to complain about how Mother Nature was playing an April Fools joke on the Earth by having snow in April. This past winter, a lot of areas around the United States didn’t experience a typical winter.

Schools didn’t have to close for snow days and had to give days back to students because of their not being frequent winter storms. Also, we had weeks of nice weather and spring came a lot earlier than expected. Now that we are having winter storms in the beginning of April and the temperatures are starting to stay in the 30’s and low 40’s, people are really questioning what is going on with our Earth.

Here are six feelings you experience when you’re not expecting snow:

An utter state of confusion.

Panic.

Wow, global warming is actually real.

Sadness

Where did the warm weather go?

Slight happiness because it looks pretty out.

This is the snow I've been waiting for!

Unpreparedness.

Well, gotta go dig out my winter jacket, gloves, and scarves that I haven’t used in weeks. Where did I put my snow boots that I haven’t used all winter?

Make the best out of it! You can finally make that snowman you've been wanting to make all winter or go snowboarding down a hill. The snow is only temporary! Oh wait, were expecting more snow this weekend... Stay warm and keep those happy thoughts of spring in your head!

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

Thank You on wooden blocks

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
