Sister,

As you prepare for your final year of your undergrad program, here are a few reminders, thank-yous, and words of inspiration for you to carry in these coming months from your not-so-little sister.

First of all, don't forget to enjoy yourself. You have the entire world on your shoulders (quite literally), but remember to take some time for you. Once you're done, you're gonna be out in the real world with real responsibilities. Take advantage of the time you have right now to be young, wild and free. You only get your college years for so long, enjoy them.

Remember your worth. You are smart, beautiful, and someone who can rule the world. Never, and I mean NEVER settle for anything less than what you are worthy of. You deserve the absolute world, and I want to see you take over like you were born to do. If anyone gets in the way of that, you bet your ass that I will take it upon myself to do whatever it takes to get you where you need to go.

Don't let anyone tell you what you can't do, but rather what you can do. For years, you've been told that you can't do this or you'd never be able to achieve that, but it's all crap. You can do anything you set your mind to, and anyone who says otherwise obviously doesn't see the potential that I see in you.

Thank you for always looking out for me. When you first left for school, I thought you wouldn't be able to look out for me the way you had before. However, you still managed to check up on me and let me know that you were still looking out for me from afar. When I left for college, I knew that it was going to be much harder, but you still made the effort to ask me how I was doing and do what you could to make me feel secure.

Thanks for being my first best friend. For almost 19 years, you have been the first person I go to for any problems, questions, or gossip. You've always been there for me when I needed you there, even if you were texting me from 100 miles away. Our countless sleepovers in the living room and Disney nights will never compare to anything else. You know exactly how to make me feel better when I'm down and how to push all of my buttons.

Thank you for inspiring me. Having such a successful college career is something so inspiring to me. Whenever I think about whether I want to go to that class, I think to myself if going would make you proud. I know that you're proud that I'm doing what I love in my field and that I chose to follow my dream rather than stick to the status quo, but something as simple as looking at your experience at school is inspiring to me. I hope to one day have as successful of a career as you do.

You're my best friend, my midnight Wawa buddy, but most importantly, you're my sister. I love you so much, and I'm so proud of you for making it this far. You're gonna take the world by storm someday, and I can't wait to see it.

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition." You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.
