Happy Birthday! You are finally 19 so I just wanted to take a minute to remind you of some great memories we have shared!
1. August 9th, 2013
The day we first met. You said "Happy Belated Birthday" and I sat at my desk, smiled and said "Thank you". Thanks for saying that because high school would have been boring without you. I still cant believe my luck. I remember when I had gotten my locker assignment and as I went to unlock it you were right next to me. Then came the realization we had basically the same schedule for classes. You were always the organized one and probably the only reason I wasn't always late to my classes.
2. Our Quinceañeras
The one thing I regret is not making time to be in your XV. It would have been amazing to be each others damas. However, you were still my madrina and you performed that day. Your group sounded absolutely amazing (especially one mariachi lol ). Although you couldn't stay for the entire thing I appreciated your presence. We were so derpy and I bet if we knew then what we know now our XV's would have been quite a bit different.
3. Ecuador
The man next to you is a force to be reckoned with. He may have lost an arm but his heart is double the size of anyone's I know.
This is truly one of my favorite pictures from our trip to Ecuador. I hope we get to plan another service project trip once college is over. There is no one else in the world I would have wanted to share a bedroom with. Although you got sick and i had to take care of you I still wouldn't change that trip for the world. Thank you for being by my side as we both made our dreams come true. You were able to play and practice with a mariachi in Ecuador whilst practicing your Spanish with our amazing bus driver. And I was able to translate and interpret for our group and the Ecuadorians (special moment at the opening mass with the bishop included).
4. Mr. PeaceÂ
This day is the day I knew I would never let you go. I was so overcome with emotion. I still have the CD's from that day. We were so close then but I guess I still hasn't grasped how close we really were. After that day, I knew we would be friends for a very long time. And I will add in a small thing here, coneys! After this day we definitely needed comfort food. I don't remember if we did get any food but some of my favorite memories were those adventures. We would go to Duly's and get the famous and delicious pie or walk to your apple fritters and once in a while go pay extra for cheese at restaurants.
5. GraduationÂ
It all happened so fast. It was endless study breaks and sleepless nights. Mixed in were a couple dances and unforgettable memories. However, the day we graduated was one of the most memorable. I am so proud of you Ms. Co-Valedictorian. You earned everything you were awarded. Although going to different colleges put a dent in our friendship, we will always be sisters. I will always be here.
Thank you for all the memorable memories.
