Others with siblings will remember how our parents used to tell us that one day, they would be our best friends, our confidants. I remember back when my mom said the same thing, and I would roll my eyes. We, of course, always loved our siblings, but younger siblings were so annoying and could sometimes be hurtful when they were embarrassed by me around their friends.

I remember when my sister and I used to get into physical altercations because we were so mad at each other. We would yell and scream at each other when our parents weren't there to see us fight. We would insult each other. At times, it could genuinely seem like we might have hated each other. But that was never the case and will never be the case.

As we've aged, my sister and I have grown closer than me and any of my other friends. She will always be a constant in my life and she has always been there for me. Whenever I went away to college, Makynlee, my niece Ashtyn, and my dog were what I missed most about home. Whenever I came home to visit, I could not wait to just sit down, talk, and gossip with my sister about her life and how college was.

Now that I've moved back to where my family lives, I get to see my sister more often. I absolutely love it. I know I can come to her with no judgment whatsoever and I hope she knows she can come to me with the same atmosphere. I love her input on every aspect of my life. She is someone I can share every part of my life with, and someone I want to do so with.

I can't wait until we grow old together and just tell our grandchildren wild stories about our childhood and how it was growing up together.

If you have siblings and don't get along with them now, I highly recommend just coming to them with no judgment and open arms, and poof, you've got a best friend for life.

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…
