One of Steve Aoki's prodigies, The Bloody Beetroots, also once known as the renowned one-man live DJ enhanced performance, has had quite a dark spell since his hiatus in 2015. So what has Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo been up to for the last couple of years? Sources tell us that he has some big announcements for the future, and we have a feeling it is going to blow "The BBB" out of the water. It is said that SBCR is his latest alias, and while we have recently only seen one album "Hide" released through Dim Mak with a short lived tour in 2013, he is hinting at giving fans more where that came from. So why the change up from The Bloody Beetroots to SBCR Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo mentions in his interview with Magnetic Mag,
"Stepping back to the DJ set as The Bloody Beetroots was kind of a shame, so I decided to do SBCR to preserve such a great project. This gives me the opportunity to create music and make experiments without any expectation, and even to try challenging myself with new skills, to produce something that I’ve never produced before."
Having a moment to create music in the lab with no pressure, and no expectation is exactly was Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo needed to submerge himself into for his new project. While there is no specific date for the release of his new work, we can be certain that he has something super special "COMING VERY SOON." Music in every genre and aspect has been a large part of Bob Cornelius's life since his accident, from a garage punk band to electronic music production. He has found a way to link the intensity of the punk rock music to the euphoric feeling of dance music to create an elite sound of perfection. As his success continued to grow through the 21st century, Bob exclaims that his success has always felt "boxed-in." In an interview with Magnetic Mag Bob states,
It's going to be the same interaction. I love doing that shit. The more you give energy to people, the more energy you get back. It's myself, I can't really stay behind the decks and do boring stuff. I have to take the risk to express myself.
The opportunity to make music without restrictions opened up an entirely new world for SBCR, which will be more DJ dance floor infused sets.
