Cynics surprise when genuine smiles light their eyes,
& they swiftly realign their mouths in a line
To remind their minds there's little time to rewind their eyes.
The sins of a cynic:
When they realized they've euthanized their life by denying their right to hope,
By feeling obliged to spit lies and forgetting what it's like to be nice and not think twice,
Their kind sends unkind signs in the size [sighs] between their lines.
They criticize and stigmatize & cannot find the time to cry.
Besides infrequent highs, despite when bright light shines from cracks in their ice,
Their crystalline lives make it hard to decide if love for an emotional mime is a waste of time
