I am the iceberg that sunk the Titanic
Taking up more space than imaginable
Greedy, a weapon of mass consumption
I sin with every bite of food that enters my mouth
Snake venom entering my body
I must rid myself of it,
Draw it out to be pure again
I cannot dance with the angels
If I am not lithe like a feather
This weight will drag me to hell
I celebrate the absence,
the occurrence of life without food
Vexed by the need to eat
I'll gladly accept some time
as a beautiful human,
In exchange for limited time among humans
