Valentine's Day is just around the corner.

Every year, once a year, coupes all around the world get the chance to show off just how in love they are. Someone like me, who has never had a boyfriend or valentine sees this as just another regular day.

So, if you're like me, and are going to be single this Valentine's Day, here is basically what OUR day will be like, as told by The Office.

1. Waking up in the morning and realizing what day it is

Oh shit, that's today.

2. Trying to make plans what your friends but then you realize they will all be out on dates

It's fine, I'm fine, everything is FINE.

3. Walking into a store to get discounted chocolate

I am not ashamed at all. A deal is a deal!

4. Having dinner by yourself in a nice restaurant because the only person you need to love is yourself

#TreatYourself

5. Not being able to go anywhere without seeing couples kissing or hugging

Really!? Right here, right now!?

6. Turning Valentine's Day into a "Treat Yourself Day" because who needs men anyways?

Because who better to spend my money on then myself?

7. Throwing a party for you and your single friends

LADIES, LET'S GET IT!

8. Hiding out in your room all day cuddled up with your dog, The Notebook, and a glass of wine

Netflix has never let me down.

9. Realizing just how special you are and you are probably too good for these men anyways

I AM AN INDEPENDENT WOMAN WHO DON'T NEED NO MAN!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
