It seems as though all you hear nowadays is how people are oh so miserable when talking about being single. I for one, happen to really enjoy it. Especially after getting out of a rough relationship, being single is SUCH a good times. Here's 10 reasons why.

1. Saving Money

What's better than paying for a romantic dinner for two? Buying a large pizza, eating it alone while watching "That 70's Show" reruns, and knowing you saved some serious cash.

2. Being Selfish

People often see being "selfish" as a bad thing, however it is so necessary to an extent. Being single gives you the opportunity to do things for you and nobody else; while not having to worry about another person.

3. No Shaving!

Not that you have to shave your legs while you're in a relationship either, but most people do and boy oh boy am i so glad i do not have to worry about that.

4. Jealousy? What's that?

Getting jealous in a relationship is common and almost impossible to avoid. But no relationship=no jealousy. Tell me thats not music to your ears.

5. No Compromising Netflix Shows

Having to sit through shows and movies that you simply are not interested in, are usually common occurrences in a relationship. But guess who you have to sacrifice binge watching your favorite shows for when you're single? N o b o d y.

6. Being Responsible for Nobody's Feelings

It's easy to get emotionally invested in a relationship. Before you know it, your significant others problems and feelings also become yours. It is extremely nice to not have to constantly have those thoughts and worries in the back of your mind.

7. Flirting Around

This one is pretty self-explanatory. Especially after being a relationship for a while, getting back out there and not having to worry about and serious feelings can be super fun. Of course not having to owe anyone anything is great too.

8. Freedom

Not having to constantly have somebody else know what you are doing basically all the time is definitely a perk. My decisions are mine and mine only and do not have a direct affect on anyone else.

9. Self Discovery

It can often be difficult to maintain individuality while in a relationship. I know for me, I lose myself in relationships. This being said, it is so fulfilling learning new things about yourself; like interests, disinterests etc.

10. Not Giving a Single F**K

Being single gives you the opportunity to do, WHATEVER YOU WANT. I don't have to answer to anyone and i can 100% do things that i enjoy without having to worry about another part of the equation. I am living life to the fullest and doing things that make me feel joy.

I love being single, and hopefully these 10 things make you feel a little better when you're moping about not having a boyfriend/girlfriend. Life is too short to not do things that make you happy. If you're single, great! If you're not single, also great! Just make sure you are doing things that benefit your life regardless, and you will be just fine.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
