Some people hate February for that very day. The roses, heart balloons, boxes of chocolates and huge stuffed animals can be a little overwhelming. When I walk into a grocery store I steer clear of the Valentines Day stuff. Not because I am bitter over Valentines Day, but I am just not hyped about it like everyone else is. I am single and I am okay with that.
Valentines day is one day out of 365 days that people get to show their significant other how much they love them from sun up to sun down. That love should be shown the other 364 days as well, but there's something special about valentines day. Some people put down valentines day so hard, but personally, I think it is cute to see couples doing crazy things for each other. Yes, I am single on valentines day and I am not bitter about it.
This year myself and the millions of other single people will be okay. It's just one day so don't mope around and feel sorry for yourself because you are single. While couples are celebrating their love for each other, celebrate your love for your single life. Cause chances are you will not be single forever. So this year get out there, have your friends over, buy a box of chocolates, pour some wine and pop in a good movie. The best part is you can wear sweatpants, lounge around and have a good time with your girls or guys.
You will not be single for every valentines day. Chances are your prince is still out there looking for you, and when its meant to be, it will be. So for now, enjoy your friends and your single life. A day will come when you will get hyped about spending Valentine's Day with your significant other. This just isn't the year and that's okay. Your single this year? so what.
