Are you dreading the single life this holiday season? Do you feel like you're missing out on all the matching sweaters and Christmas-themed dates? Fear not! The holidays are just as fun, if not more fun, when you're single.

Still worried? Here are eight reasons why being single over the holidays isn't that bad after all.

1. You get to save money.

Instead of panicking over finding the perfect gift for your significant other, you can save (or spend) that money. You could take a trip, go out to dinner, or get some retail therapy.

2. You don't have to spend time with anyone else's family.

Your family is a lot. Why stress yourself out by dealing with someone else's? Luckily, you don't have to deal with anyone's mother hating you this year.

3. You don't have to share your childhood bed with anyone.

Seriously, think about how weird that is.

4. You don't have to do any couple's activities.

You suck at ice skating? You don't want to leave your bed at all? Then don't! You don't have to worry about missing out on any cute Instagram moments.

5. With all your new free time, you can take up a new hobby, or do absolutely nothing.

Learn how to knit, do a paint-by-numbers, or just eat your weight in cheese. You can do whatever you want now, with no one to judge you!

6. You can watch whatever you want.

Maybe your significant other didn't appreciate the classics, or maybe their picks were just way too cheesy. Either way, you have full control over the remote. Use it wisely.

7. You can work on Christmas.

Since you don't have to hang out with anyone's weird family this year, you can make some extra cash for yourself.

8. You don't have to compromise.

The most important thing about being single over the holidays is that you no longer have to make compromises with a partner. This holiday season is all about you, so have fun!

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.
