Whether you have been in countless relationships since middle school or have made it through college without even getting that awkward first kiss, we have all been single at some point in life. After all, we are born single. Maybe some days that "relationship status" line on Facebook does not even cross your mind and other days the letters spelling "s-i-n-g-l-e" taunt you, making you question when the love of your life will hurry up and waltz in to sweep you off your feet--or if they will ever even show up. Wherever you are right now--perpetually single, newly single, about to be single--I know falling into a slump and believing you'll be alone forever is so easy. Of course I cannot promise that you'll be happily married in approximately 21 months, but I can remind you that single is not a synonym for anything negative, despite what you might tell your self in your dark moments. Going through periods when singleness feels like a curse is completely normal, but I want to remind you to take a minute and remember that your relationship status is not a measure of your worth as a human being, not for one second. Single people, this list is my encouragement--my beacon of hope--to you and to myself of what "single" is NOT a synonym for.

1. Your identity

2. Unsociable

3. Lonely

4. Ugly

5. High maintenance

6. Hopeless

7. Unloved

8. Too clingy

9. Incapable

10. Desperate

11. Unwanted

12. Lazy

13. Behind in life

14. Discontent

15. Worthless

16. Prude

17. Picky

18. Afraid

19. Boring

20. Invisible

21. Shy

22. Forever alone

23. Overbearing

24. Worthless

25. Needy

Single is not a synonym for you. You are beautifully created in God's image, you are loved, and you are more than your relationship status.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
