First and foremost, you get to have your bed all to yourself. Whether it's a queen-size bed, or an extra long twin, it's all yours now. No more having to share a tight space, or having someone break your neck to get comfortable, or keep you up all night with their snoring. To be honest, if you get lonely just make a boyfriend pillow. One of my friends made a boyfriend pillow and just sprayed men's cologne so it smelt like a boy and there, instant boyfriend.
You literally never have to wait on anyone or make a decision with another person. Guess what? If you want to go to the movies, you can go to the movies. You're living for one now, so you have more options to do things since you don't have to consult someone else. You also get to spend more time with your friends and, honestly, they love you a lot more than a boy would.
You get to eat what ever you want. If your ex had a weird allergy, or some allergy to your favorite activity, now you can eat it or do what you love. You can also wear whatever the hell you want. If you want to look like a hobo you can and if you want to look like a star, go for it! It's your choice, no one else's. Your clothing options are in your control and the only opinion you should be worried about is your gay best friend since they are the most honest ones in your life.
You can listen to all of the Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert that you want. To be honest, who doesn't love their music? Adele, you know Adele speaks to the soul. These women understand how complicated relationships are, they understand the good, the bad, and the ugly. Listening to them gives you a new outlook on relationships and the bad in a relationship.
You get to catch up on all your favorite episode of the real housewives or whatever else you are on a binge with watching. These shows will more than likely be around longer than any of the lovers in your life. You shouldn't have to explain your TV shows and honestly that's what your friends are for. I mean how many times have you watched "Grey's Anatomy" with your friends? At least like 100 times. How many times has that special someone wanted to watch Grey's? If you give a high number, keep them. Keep them forever!
You get to have me time. Remember when you wanted to knit that scarf or go for a run? Maybe you wanted to just sleep your life away. You can do that. Now you can go to Missouri, I don't know why you would go to Missouri but you now have that option. The point is you can do whatever you want now.
And last but not least, you're as single as a Pringle. Have fun! Explore what you like and go on adventures. Date some people you thought you wouldn't date before and try to be a better version of you. The truth is, if you can make yourself happy by being single, you'll be able to have a happy relationship when you're ready. Being single isn't the end of the world it's a beginning to a fantastic adventure.
