I love being single, don't get me wrong. There are times during the year though when it absolutely sucks. These times to me are around holidays. With Halloween quickly approaching and Thanksgiving and Christmas quickly following I remember why being single sucks. The "cuddle weather" season perpetuates the idea that we need someone to make the season complete. This is so wrong I don't even understand why people think this. I have been always been singe during this time and have never felt as though I didn't live life to the fullest.
1. You can have gal pal time
This time of the year is meant to be spent with friends. If you're in college you all will be separating for Christmas break soon, you should be spending every minute you have together.
2. You are free to do what you want to do
It's no surprise that guys don't always want to do the typical fall things that girls do. We love to pick apples, pick out the perfect pumpkin, get the perfect photo with all the leaves when they have changed color. If you're single though there is no problem just take your friends to do these things with you, or go by yourself.
3. No need to shave your legs
I am an avid believer in the no shave movement. I don't follow it I shave my legs, but I feel that if someone doesn't want to they shouldn't be criticized for it. Its a lot of hard work to shave your legs and knees and make sure you get everything and not everyone likes waxing or hair removal creams.
4.No stress to find the perfect gift
I don't know about you all but I am horrible at picking out presents, even for myself. If I have to get a present for someone else they will probably be getting a gift card or cash. It's not that I don't want to give meaningful gifts, I just suck at it.
5.You don't have to meet the family or introduce him to yours
Meeting the parent, its such a dramatic moment in a relationship. It can be very stressful if your significant other isn't liked by the parents. I am super awkward and loathe the day when my relationship comes to this.
