Valentine's Day is a holiday surrounded with a ton of hype to buy expensive chocolates, balloons shaped as hearts, stuffed animal bears hugging a heart and going out to eat at some outrageously expensive restaurant with your beau. There's nothing more satisfying then a night out and then in with expensive lingerie and rose petals thrown carelessly all over your floor and bed.
1. I don't really want to sleep on rose petals. It will just make washing the blankets even harder and get in cracks where they don't need to be.
2. Aren't we all on a diet? We don't need chocolate! Buy me an expensive truffle if you wish but 1 only.
3. I don't have money so if you're taking me out to eat, don't expect me to "surprise" pay for dessert or drinks afterwards. Okay?
I have a few ideas for those of you who don't have S.O's and want to treat yourself to a romantic and comfortable night in.
--Turn off your electronic devices and get away from the world. (Keep them on for music but put your phone on silent.)
--Get yourself a new book or snuggle up to your favorite.
--Find a decent amount of wine to drink and drink it ALL.
--Draw your lavender epsom salt bath, read your book and drink that wine!
That's the best night I can think of even if it's not on Valentine's Day.
Enjoy lovelies!
