SimpleSexyStupid

Every Thursday, I scan the subscription box all day for one single video. Its not the fact that I am addicted to YouTube itself, I am addicted to everything the channel SimpleSexyStupid produces. The content on the channel includes nearly everything I want in a YouTube channel. We all have a favorite YouTuber or show that we try to watch every week and my favorite includes Aryia (the content creator), girls, advice, apparel, the Bae of the Day and sometimes Andrew Hales. Every single video includes a certain topic and triggers many emotions for me personally.

The topics in Aryia’s videos have nearly everything I could ever ask for. The comment section of each video seems to support and add something new to the topic discussed. Aryia’s humor and interviewing skills he has developed have really brought his videos from what they were when he was at 50,000 subscribes to what they are today. For example, this line from one of Aryia’s videos: “I love ice cream. But would I eat ice cream every day for the rest of my life? No, I wouldn’t. 'Cause you know, I’m lactose intolerant.” Even the questions he asks people he interviews are hilarious for example he asked a couple different girls this question, “When you see a guy jogging shirtless, is that normal to you?”

A normal SimpleSexyStupid video will include questions, 5-6 girls, usually 1 or 2 guys (usually Andrew Hales as well, playing out as a girl) and a thank you to his viewers at the end for watching and supporting him. Most YouTubers, I feel like, don’t thank their viewers, which I find very disheartening. If you create some sort of content, wouldn’t you like someone to care? Many of my favorite YouTubers do the same thing that SimpleSexyStupid does but differently. For example, channels such as AngryPinic, Paint and LAWHF (Andrew Hales' YouTube channel). I feel connected with these content creators even though I have never met them. If you have a favorite YouTuber or group of YouTubers, comment on their videos, let them know what you like, and support what they create. You never know, your comment might be a part of something bigger.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
