Fall is almost here! September 22nd is the first official day of fall this year. Everyone knows that fall and winter are the best seasons of the year. And no, this is actually not debatable.
So what can you do to get more into the feel of fall?
If you're from a place where the weather is actually cool and there are colorful leaves, it may be a bit easier to get into the "fall feeling." However, if this is not the case, you may have to do a bit more to make that 90 degree weather feel like it's actually Halloween/Thanksgiving season.
Therefore, here are a couple of things you can do to get into that fall feeling.
1. Get a fall drink from Starbucks.
I know, I know. I started off with the most stereotypical white girl fall thing. But the fall drinks really are a great way to kick off this season!
2. Decorate your home!
This is so important! Don't let your house be boring. Hobby Lobby has tons of fall decorations that are actually ALL on sale. It's pretty easy to decorate without spending your whole paycheck. Get a few fake pumpkins and leaves, and you're gold!
3. Wear fall clothes.
Okay, I understand everyone may not be into holiday clothing. Actually, I don't understand, but whatever. Target has super cute Halloween shirts, and I'm sure you can find other fall shirts in lots of stores. If you can't get yourself to wear a fall shirt, try getting Halloween or Thanksgiving socks.
4. Watch holiday movies.
Also super important to get you feeling fall! Thanksgiving movies, not so much, but there are so many awesome Halloween movies! "Halloweentown" is a must, but watch one of your faves and you'll surely start to experience more of those fall feelings.
5. Fall Scented Candles!
The smell of fall is truly one of the best smells of all. Bath & Body works is a great place to get your house smelling like autumn in no time.
6. Greet every single person you see with "Trick or Treat, Happy Halloween, or Happy Thanksgiving."
Who doesn't love fall?! (nobody)
So get out there and get spooky and thankful because autumn is basically here!
Happy Fall!
"Autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let things go."
