At the beginning of the school year, I had everything planned out. My binders were clean, my planner was neat and for a solid week I think I actually had my life together. A few months later and my binders are a mess, I hardly write in my planner and my life is definitely NOT together at the moment. However, I found some tips that are helping me get through this school year, and I hope they help you too.

1. Write Everything Down.

A short pencil is better than a long memory. You should write everything you need to remember so you can keep up with it.

2. Get A Planner.

Having a planner has helped me keep up with my school assignments. It's especially useful if you have appointments or just busy days.

3. Everything Needs a Home.

When you take something out to use it, remember to put it back in its place. If you do this, you'll keep up with important information and you won't have so much clutter.

4. Make a To-Do List.

Once you write down everything you need to do, you take it on one step at a time. Viewing your list allows you to prioritize your important tasks. This is also a motivational tool.

5. Follow Through With Your To-Do-List.

Now it's actually time for you to put in the work. Remember what you have marked as important and do those things first. Plus, you're getting the difficult tasks out of the way.

These are just a few simple steps that you can take to become organized! It does not take a lot, but you need to have a desire to be organized. If you want to know the importance being organized check out David Caolo's Benefits of Being Organized. I hope that you are now on your way to becoming a better, more organized person.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
