A Simple Solution To The Women’s Health Control Debate

Its fifth-period chemistry class and you're sitting next to your best friend. "pst do you have a tampon?" We have all been there, and we've all helped out. It's a simple gesture, and it goes a long way.

Women's health, in general, is not as simple as passing a tampon to your best friend. It has become a complicated issue with surrounding political debate. But sometimes you have to remove the complication.

So let's make this simple. These are some straight facts about a really great opportunity.

Birth Control. It is not just a pill that keeps a girl from getting pregnant. There is birth control for men and women. Here are two facts you should know.

1. It is easier to access male birth control than it is to access female birth control. Over 19 million women in the United States don't have good access to birth control. Viagra and condoms are available anywhere at any time.

2. Birth control isn't just to prevent pregnancy. It helps with all the symptoms that almost every girl suffers from, and it can help prevent ovarian cancer! It can prevent cancer!

So why are we making it so hard for women to be healthy? The answer to that question isn't easy. We are keeping this simple.

So how can we make it easier for women to be healthy? Much better, thank you for asking.

My friend just told me about this simple solution and I think it's something more people should be looking into. Simple Health is a telemedicine company that is using technology to deliver affordable and convenient care to those who need it. Right now they're getting ready to launch a life-changing new service: online birth control prescriptions and delivery.

You want simple? How about fair costs and convenience. Here is where you can sign up: signup.simplehealth.com.

And remember when you gave your best friend a tampon? Here's an even easier way to help out women. When you sign up, you can use your link to refer friends. For every sign-up, Simple Health will be donating birth control prescriptions to uninsured women. It's that simple.

With so many complications surrounding this issue, let's come together to support our sisters who want to be healthy. It's easier than giving your best friend a tampon.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
