I stumbled across the balance beam placing one foot in front of the other until I reached the end. Relieved I finally made it to the end, I jumped and stuck the landing! Through my excitement, I remembered to throw my hands in the air and could see my parents clapping in the audience. This was the highlight of my gymnastics career, and at the age of six I was really proud of my accomplishments. However, even if I chose to stick with gymnastics I'm pretty sure I'd be nowhere near as good as the powerful Simone Biles.
If you haven't been keeping track of Biles throughout the Olympics here's what you missed: August 7th Biles scored 16.050 on the vault, 15.000 on the uneven bars, 15.633 on the balance beam and 15.733 on the floor exercise. She is truly incredible all around and her talent is something of the ages. On the 9th she won her first gold medal in the 2016 Rio Olympics with the highest scores on vault, balance beam, and floor. Slay Queen!!
In the past Biles has won gold for the American cup and the 2016 Pacific Rim Championships. She has an impressive gymnastics career and at the age of 19 has won 14 medals, 10 of which were gold, and is the first female to win 3 consecutive world all-around titles. This 4'8 beauty has the strength of a powerhouse and I am truly impressed with her work ethic and her humble attitude. Throughout the whole competition she has shown her sweet personality and never seems to crash under the pressure, and at this point, it seems the only person she's competing against is herself. I hope everyone is paying attention because she is truly making history and I'm more than glad that I am able to watch it.
This "supergirl" has proven to the whole world just how powerful she is. So if they ever make a Supergirl movie, they should highly consider Biles for the role.
