Some days are terrible. We all have terrible days, whether that means failing an exam, forgetting a deadline or finding out they ran out of grilled cheeses in the dining hall. So you wander dejectedly towards your next class, resigned to a dreary day, and then you see it. The cheeriest, happiest, most wonderful thing in the world: a dog. Whether it's a pupper, doggo, pupperino or just a plain old dog, there's many ways to know if you're a dog lover.

1. You know all the different types of dogs.

And I don't mean breeds. There are dogs, doggos, puppers, pupperinos, woofers and many kinds in between. I know it can get confusing, but with a little studying and some paws-on practice, you can figure it out in no time.

3. The best part about coming home is seeing your own dogs.

Other people's dogs are great, but there's something about your own that's just even better. They're always happy to see you no matter what, perhaps only topped by how happy you are to see them. School breaks are meant for pupper cuddles, after all.

4. If your dog doesn't like your date, there won't be another date.

It's common sense: if your dog doesn't like someone, then they must be suspicious. Your family's opinion might matter as well, but let's face it, no one's opinion matters as much as your dog.

5. You treat your dog like your child.

They dress up for Halloween, get presents at Christmas and get extra treats on their birthday. No human kid can match the cuteness of your four-legged child!

6. You've canceled plans to hang out with your dog.

Why bother putting on pants when you could just have a movie night with your best friend?

7. You know that there's no better friend than a dog.

They'll stay with you through thick and thin, always be happy to see you and give the best cuddles in the world. What more could you ever need?

They say dogs are man's best friend, but I think they're really a college student's best friend. Whenever you need cheering up, snuggles or a big ole kiss, they're always there for you. Dogs are better than humans a lot of the time, and we wouldn't have it any other way.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
