"Criminal Minds" is a magical show in which you are taken through a journey of murder, rape, or kidnapping (or, if you’re lucky, a combination of the three). It is highly addicting, especially since you can binge watch 10 seasons on Netflix. Here are some signs that you are completely addicted:
1. You’re convinced every random person is a serial killer. The 17-year-old pizza boy shtick is probably just a rouse, he is for sure trying to kill you.
2. You love Reid. So quirky and so cute.
3. You take control in dangerous situations. You have too much confidence in your survival skills and use “I watch 'Criminal Minds'” as a qualification.
4. You know random, weird facts. Thanks, Reid.
5. You always think about the worst case scenario. Yeah, that could’ve just been a squirrel in the bushes, but your mind jumps to the serial killer. Your mind always jumps to serial killer.
6. You use words like 'unsub' and 'M.O.' even though no one knows what you are talking about.
7. You try to profile strangers. Unfortunately, you are not Morgan, and fail miserably.
8. You pride yourself on your ability to predict the ending. “Yep, the cousin definitely did it. I should be in the FBI.”
9. You have so many quotes under your belt. Not that they would be helpful at all, but two inspirational quotes per episode start to add up.
10. You confuse your life with something that happened in the show. "Criminal Minds" is basically your life, so the line between them blurs. Sometimes, you start to tell a story, but then realize you just heard it on an episode.
11. You get weirdly excited when an episode is in your home town. A fictional serial rapist is in your city, so cool! You are practically famous.
12. You like specific cases. “Yay! I love the kidnapping episodes,” just doesn’t sound quite right.
13. You are a prepared bad*ss, ready to take on any kidnappers, rapists, or serial killers.
14. You wish you had a Garcia in your life. “Hey sugar, whatcha got for me?”
15. You kinda hate yourself for watching it. “Why am I watching someone cut off people’s faces? This is disgusting. I am never watching this again.” Until next week.
You always come back to the twisted show and love the next episode more than the last. Even if you are constantly paranoid that someone is going to kill you, you’re always ready for next week’s episode or a Netflix binge. Weirdly, watching psychopaths relaxes you. When life gets hard, at least you aren’t trapped in a crazy person’s basement or laying in a ditch somewhere. So keep binging, my friends.
