As the final month of summer approaches, college students everywhere are dreading the start of homework and worse, the costs of textbooks for a new semester. However, if you chose the right school, then you also feel excited for the summer heat to begin to dissipate because the change in temperature means; it's time for your return to campus. Here are a few signs that prove you have chosen the right school.

1. The worst part about summer is being so far from your college friends

There's nothing like living down the hall from all of your friends. Or even in the same room for that matter. Summer time shows us how much our friends at school really mean to us when we can't see them every day.

2. You refer to your college friends as your second family

Your friends at school have seen you at your worst and your best... and they still choose to claim you as their own.

3. You think your campus is beautiful

You're not afraid to brag about your campus to your high school friends and family. You may also have a couple panoramic pictures saved on your phone just to prove to them how awesome your campus really is.

4. You're involved

You chose to get involved not just for the extra resume boost, but for the friendships you've made and the changes you are able to make on the campus you're proud to be apart of. You are involved in so many campus clubs and organizations that you put these activities above other priorities like, say, sleep.

5. You have a friendship with your professors

You have professors that you stop by during their office hours just to say 'Hi' and these are the professors that will have an impact on the rest of your life.

6. You love your degree program

You often refer to your degree as the best major on campus. You may even think some of the classes are kind of... interesting. No shame.

P.S. (COMM STUDIES FOR LIFE!!!).

7. You wear your school's gear with pride

There's nothing like that baggy grey sweatshirt you bought your freshman year from the bookstore. Especially when you wear it at least twice a week...

8. You've referred to campus as your 'home' when you were already 'home' with your parents

It may have been a little awkward when you told your parents you were ready to go 'home' (meaning back to school) for the first time, but deep down they are happy that you have chosen a place you want to call your own.

9. You understand what your parent's meant when they said "these will be the best years of your life"

If you chosen the right school, no amount of homework or stress could compare to how happy you are when you do get through those first rounds of mid-terms and you have a couple minutes to forget about your responsibilites and hang out with your firends.

10. You're excited to graduate, but not excited to leave your campus community behind

As my senior year approaches, I am a bit sentimental about these next two semesters being my last. I have loved every moment of college and I am so thankful that I chose the perfect school for me.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
