Everyone is a push-over sometimes, but when it seems like you're constantly doing things for other people, you may be the push-over friend. If you find yourself saying yes to everything without getting any thanks in return, there's a good chance that's become your role. If you're unsure here are some signs to check out.
1. You try to say no, but it never really works.
It's not like you want to do it, you just don't know how to say no.
2. You get guilted into things really easily.
If someone says please, you're done for.
3. You start doing things before people ask.
It's just become easier this way.
4. When a favor is brought up, you're automatically looked at.
It's pretty much assumed that no one else can do it, so it's got to be you.
5. You feel like your friends are more likely to describe you as "helpful" than anything else.
Basically, you don't have any other qualities, except doing stuff for people.
6. You're just kind of always doing things for other people.
Yeah, fine, okay, I'll do it.
7. You've learned to give yourself the appreciation you deserve.
Well, if no one else is gonna do it, you have to know your own worth.
8. You end up agreeing to plans you didn't even want to do
And not in the 'oh maybe I'll find a new interest' kind of way. You actually do things you know you don't like.
9. Paying for people has become a problem, and
Oh you don't have any money even though you buy starbucks everyday? That's fine, I got it.
10. You clean up after everybody
Well, no one else is gonna do it.
11. If you say "no" the first time, you won't stick to it.
It's okay, we've all been there.
12. All of your friends love you (but mostly because they don't have to lift a finger).
You really shouldn't have to do stuff for that though, remember that.
