Signs You Are A Frat Groupie

When you know, you just know.

It's no doubt that college gives the term Groupie a whole new meaning. Whether it is referring to a specific club, or sports team, or fraternity, you can always count on them to have a solid group of fans. Maybe it was an instant bond with this group, but even if one of you was playing hard to get, it's nice to have that one fraternity where you know you're always welcome. (Side note: this is not to say that one should go their whole college career without venturing out). So, if any of these apply to you, you're definitely a groupie.

1. Boys in the fraternity ask who you are going with to their date party before you even know if you are going or not.

2. You have a Groupme chat with guys in the fraternity.

3. The "main" you refer to is their frat house, not your own sorority house.

4. Most of the guys in the house have stopped trying to impress you by now.

5. You are the first ones to arrive at their parties, and it doesn't make you uncomfortable.

6. The few guys in the frat who you don't know, know you.

7. You value their frat tee shirts over your sorority shirts.

8. Which is why you gave none of them to your little.

9. You have their composite hanging in your apartment.

10... and maybe even their flag,

11. Hidden somewhere very secret is a photo of you in their blocks (clothing with big, stitched on greek letters. Warning: these are very sacred!)

12. You try to branch out, but it doesn't work.

13. When you do go to other houses all the guys are surprised you actually showed up.

14. You actually want to go to their philanthropy events.

15. You look forward to going to their tailgates.

16. Your little is an honorary groupie.

17. And you are actually sad if she doesn't bond with them the way you have.

18. You know a few of the frats top secrets.

19. Your groupie status is well known by everyone,

20. Their Instagram page follows you.

21. And you're in a picture on their Instagram page.

22. Your opinion on their newest members is valued.

23. Last but not least, you can count on any of them to have your back.

The groupie lifestyle may not be for everyone, I get that. But the way I see it, having a solid group of people to plan fun trips with, make hilarious memories with, and look out for you is key to a successful time in college.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
