Signs You Were Obsessed With The Jonas Brothers

Just call me Mrs. Jonas.

Signs You Were Obsessed With The Jonas Brothers

The Jonas Brothers: the greatest pop boy band of the late 2000s. My 13-year-old self worshiped every ounce of the three bros, Nick, Joe, and Kevin. Many girls would agree with me when I say that they were fundamental to my adolescent life. Seeing them on a Tiger Beat magazine made my heart skip a beat. Nothing was more satisfying than flipping through the pages of tween magazines and seeing their faces on literally every page. Their looks weren’t the only thing that captured my attention. You could say hearing them on the radio or TV was comparable to hearing angels singing from above. A JoBro fan can easily relate to at least one of these 14 obsessive signs:

1. Knowing the rap in "Burnin’ Up"

And feeling like the biggest gangster. You basically called yourself Big Rob for the next few years.

2. Having a favorite Jonas

As hard as it is to admit, romantic Kevin was not as favorable amongst the teenyboppers. You either had a thing for sensitive Nick or funny Joe.

3. Having over 50 posters of them in your bedroom

Thank God for teen magazines for providing portraits of my idols. It almost felt as though they were in my room. Nothing felt more special than waking up to their charming looks. A little creepy, I know.

4. Wrote fan mail at least once

As a JoBro obsesser myself, I wrote to them numerous times in hopes they would personally write me back. Several years later, I’m still waiting.

5. Getting the CD the day it came out

We all know that feeling of walking into Target and picking up the fresh new copy of the latest mix of a JB album and memorizing all the songs the next day on your swag Walkman.

6. Crying to Nick’s song "A Little Bit Longer"

In this moment, Nick suddenly became your favorite Jonas. You’re lying if a tear didn’t fall down your face when you listened to it the first time.

7. Going to their concerts

Listening to your favorite JB songs on stereo was great, but hearing them live in concert? These are moments one must not forget.

8. Re-watching the JB episode of Hannah Montana

The mind was blown when the ultimate boy band was on the ultimate Disney Channel show. "We Got The Party" became your favorite song to dance to with fellow JB lovers.

9. Wishing Miley and Nick were still together

Though they were only 16 at the time, you were convinced that they would get married. #NILEY 4ever.

10. "Camp Rock" was your favorite movie

Was it acceptable to watch it more than ten times the summer it came out? You bet it was. Also, you were also extremely jealous of Demi Lovato. How dare she steal your man Joe?

11. Overly excited for "Jonas"

Though it barely lasted and wasn’t as popular as you would have hoped, you were still excited to see them on TV and continued to be that loyal fan you are.

12. Crying when they broke up

Every fangirl’s first heartbreak: watching the bros walk away from something you thought was special made you feel like you could not trust again.

13. You supported Joe and Nick’s solo gigs

They redeemed themselves through their 10/10 solo acts. Though not as successful as being one big band, they were still sexy AF doing their own thing. You do you, boos.

14. Thinking Kevin and Danielle are #goals

Most thought Kevin would not end up with someone. Newsflash: He was the first to marry and you never felt happier for him. He and his wife, Danielle, are real-life relationship goals.

Also, he reminds us that everyone can find real love.

Thank you Jonas Brothers for being the best part of my life for the longest time. Though my posters are down and I’ve stopped writing to you, I haven’t forgotten our memories together. In fact, I still get hyped to your jams. JoBro fan forever.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
