5 Signs You Are A Military Brat

Growing up on a military base as a child, you do certain things that are not normal to most. Sometimes you are even seen as weird.

Since I was born at the Naval Hospital in Jacksonville, FL, I traveled around the United States and stayed on four different bases in four different states. I have became very familiar with the military brat culture.

Here are some signs that might give away that you are a military brat:

1. You are late when you are on time.

Because being on time is when you are 30 minutes early.

2. Your military I.D. Card is what you pull out first when asked for personal identification.

But you realize that you got rid of it because you are over 21.

3. When someone asks where you are from you really don't know.

" Uh. I Guess. Here."

4. When you get ignored but you have the patience of a champion due to your ability to make friends with everyone.

It's cool because he is my friend.

5. When someone calls you by your first name.

But you fail to turn around because your first name is like a foreign language.

When it comes to television, there’s very few sets of on-screen siblings that a lot of us can relate to. Only those who have grown up with siblings knows what it feels like to fight, prank, and love a sibling. Ross and Monica Geller were definitely overbearing and overshared some things through the series of "Friends," but they captured perfectly what real siblings feel in real life. Some of their antics were funny, some were a little weird but all of them are completely relatable to brothers and sisters everywhere.

Every kid in college and/or high school dreams of summer the moment they walk through the door on the first day back in September. It becomes harder and harder to focus in classes and while doing assignments as the days get closer.
