3.5 Signs That You Live With A Fashion Blogger
Hannah Coleman

So this year I get the opportunity to live with one of my very best friends at my home away from home. I get to know her as the funny, not always put together, clothes thrown all over the room Hannah Coleman, but the internet knows her as Hannah Coleman from The Dainty Bouquet.

Now if you do not live with a fashion blogger you probably do not even know what fashion bloggers are like. They are really cool people and definitely know A LOT about fashion. So here are 3.5 signs that you are living life with a fashion blogger.

1. They are ALWAYS online shopping.

There have been a couple of times that I have had to say to Hannah "Do you really need that?" or "Is it really worth it?" and while sometimes she will say say back "Yeah that is true, I don't really need it" most of the time she will say "But it is really pretty" or "But I really really want it." I mean we just had this conversation like 10 minutes ago.

2. She is always taking pictures.

She wants to document her life for the sake of the internet, and that is not a bad thing. Everywhere we go she takes pictures, or makes me take pictures for her, like the one above and this one happened to have a really funny story behind it, you should head over to her blog to read about it. Her blog would not be a fashion blog without the fashion, so when we do go out she most definitely needs a picture of her ootd, or outfit of the day in internet fashion lingo.

3. There are clothes all over the room because she is styling outfits all the time.

(My face may be candid, but she definitely styled my outfit.)

Whether she is styling herself or someone else, there are clothes all over the room. Literally earlier this week Hannah had the opportunity to write an article for our campus newspaper but she needed people to model for it, so for two days she was styling people in our room. After the photoshoot we walked into our room and both said "Oh my" at the mess from styling multiple girls.

3.5 You always have a personal stylist.

This point definitely goes with the point above. I can not even begin to explain how many times I have asked Hannah if something matches, or if she could help me put together an outfit. Living with a fashion blogger means that you no longer have an excuse to say "I just do not know what this goes with" because she will definitely be able to pick something out of your closet to match whatever piece of clothing you want to wear.

In the end, not only do I get to live with a pretty awesome blogger, I get to also call her my friend and sister in Christ, and while sometimes it requires patience, especially when she is taking pictures of you and just says over and over "Madison, stop laughing and be serious!" I would not want to trade these experiences for anything.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
