25 Signs You Could Be a Foodie

'Foodie' is slang for someone that is very very interested in food. Being a self-proclaimed foodie is easy, we all love food, right? But being a true foodie could be the difference between really enjoying food and making it a purposeful part of your lifestyle as a whole.

You may be a foodie if you do the following in regards to food:


1. You are always adding more seasoning, marinade, or sauce to your foods-- because the more flavor the better!



2. You are the one with so many toppings that your hamburger or pizza that it is falling apart, but what's wrong with more food on top of your food?



3. You have ordered a Bloody Mary because you wanted the snack food that comes on top of them at some restaurants.



4. You always bring home your leftovers and actually eat them (that is if there was anything left over in the first place).



5. You are the friend who always suggests getting food on the way to an event or home from an event.



6. You'll go out for early coffee, breakfast, brunch, or lunch with friends--not just dinner or the bars. Any excuse to have 'good eats'.



7. You always order something different and find yourself getting annoyed when others order the same thing every time, food is an adventure c'mon!



8. You will plan out snacks or meals for group outings to the beach or camping.


9. You cook for others often .


10. You always joke that you would travel the world just to eat good food (except it's not a joke, you totally would) .



11. Even when you have plenty of food at home you are still always tempted to go out for food.



12. You stop talking when food is in front of you, you have to concentrate on savoring every bite!


13. You try to get others to eat with you so that you're not the only one always snacking.


14. You burn your mouth often, you just can't wait.



15. When you talk with other foodies, you will brainstorm what you should order/cook as if it's the most important decision of your day .


16. When you are done eating you will talk about the quality of the food .


17. Potlucks genuinely excite you .



18. You spend all your money on food .


19. You get for real "hangry" (hungry-angry).


20. You use the phrases "guess what I ate today?" or "guess what I cooked the other day" in regular conversation because you get so excited about food.


21. You are known for your innovative recipes, but your seemingly randomly ingredients actually work together surprisingly well.



22. When you are at festivals or fairs you spend more on awesome vendor food than you do on actual souvenirs.


23. You can't pick a favorite food.


24. You love going to the farmers market.


25. You will try just about any food- can't hurt, right?
