The oxymoron only a few will understand…here’s what it’s really like to be an extroverted introvert!
Your friends laugh when you say you’re kind of an introvert.
They just flat out don't believe you. You may as well be telling them the grass is purple.
You’re either the life of the party or in a corner petting a dog…there’s no in between.
Sometimes you gotta dance. Sometimes you gotta frantically search until you find a dog, claim it as yours, and set up your cozy spot in the corner.
You like being the center of attention, but only for like 2 seconds.
HEY GUYS LOOK AT THIS REALLY COOL THING - okay stop looking at me now.
When you’re in a big crowd you have to keep your internal screams internal.
I'm extremely uncomfortable but if I scream I will probably scare you. I hope you don't mind my blank stare and Joker smile.
Sometimes going out seems like a good idea until you get out.
Yeah I'll totally go! But I'll probably want to take a nap in the middle of it.
You have no problem approaching and starting a conversation with someone...
You love to meet new people and make new friends, and have no problem approaching people.
Until they start actually talking to you...
Until the two line conversation you rehearsed in your head turns into a full blown conversation.
You can easily talk one on one to anyone in your class, but if you have to give a presentation, you feel like you’re going to pass out.
One on one conversations with your friends are easy. Put you in front of a crowd of them, instant passing out.
You like getting dressed up to go out better than actually going out.
Getting ready with your friends is sometimes more fun than actually going to where you're getting ready to go.
You look calm on the outside in public places, but you’re actually going through your list of excuses to get out the situation ASAP.
"Sorry my aunt's friend's daughter's goldfish's dog needs his insulin shot!"
