With everything unfolding in the world, it seems inappropriate to write yet another "light" article. I don't think distracting people with a snippet of comedic intervention or a strongly opinionated wrangle amid the pain and chaos ensuing around us is a rightful and honorable way to use the platform I am so grateful to speak upon. I see this as a great opportunity to let these aphorisms resonate where they may.
So, simply, I believe in these truths:
The Lord is sovereign.
The Lord has a plan.
With the Word of the Lord and the hope of salvation, where there is uncertainty, there is rest.
Where there is pain and conflict, there is peace.
Where there is anguish and bleakness and desolation, there is hope.
This is my attempt at complete and utter vulnerability. I took photos of side-notes from my Bible, and I would like to share these with you. Not so many words this time, but just photos of my favorite reminders and a glimpse into the beauty Christ brought when He ransomed us all.
So, for your uncertainty, pain, conflict, anguish, bleakness, and desolation, He is the answer.
Here is an intimate look at the reminders scribbled on the pages of my Bible.
